Day 5 - 13 September, 2010 - Moorea / Bora Bora

We are looking pretty tired after a tremendous storm last night. The effects felt worse because we were over water. In the morning we woke covered with pieces of plam leaves from the thatch roof... WOW!  I kept praying and thinking that I would call and ask to be moved closer to land. The noise from the wind and hard rain got very loud inside of our bungalow. Thanks to a sweet husband that hugged me tighter and I finally fell asleep to wake up to a beautiful sunrise. This is one of my favorite times of the day. Today is our last day in Moorea.

Paula happy to see the sunrise

I promise Andrew does not have a new haircut:))  He has bed head :)) Keep in mind that it's 5 hours earlier in FP...  Love you honey!!XOXO

The water is so clear and still
God is so awesome!! We are so blessed to see such beauty.
Beautiful sunrise in Moorea

Awesome breakfast, I love you and your Tofino BC shirt :)  (Anniversary #10 in Canda)

I have a foot fetish, when they are resting so are we:))

We are soaking in the view after a big breakfast

Saying goodbye to bungalow # 85, perfect location!!

I am leaving with such great memories!
Andrew and I were picked up at our hotel and driven to a jewlery store so I could pick out a complimentary black pearl pendant as part of our anniversary package.

Black Pearls

This volcano remnant looks like a lady's side profile, our driver told us that she looks like she has long hair

Traveler's "Palm"

Our Bora Bora plane
Day 5 we travelled from Moorea to Bora Bora, about a 50 minute flight.
Here's a link on Google Maps: Bora Bora

or try this...

This is the view from the airplane. Bora Bora is located about 160 miles northwest of Tahiti and approximately 2,600 miles south of Hawaii, was discovered in 1722, and is arguably the most beautiful island on the planet.

We have just arrived in Bora Bora, The island is so beautiful that words can not describe. There are so many colors in the water (magical!!)
A Hilton boat  picked us up from the airport, we did our check in on the ride to the hotel.

Beautiful greeting with a new lei, Andrew still has on his going away shell lei from Moorea
It was raining when we arrived at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa. The Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa was featured on the ABC's The Bachelorette. When we arrived all I could see were lights lighting up the property. All I can say is Wow and it is dark. It looks like Fastasy  Island!! I am expecting Tatto to yell "De Plane! De Plane!" The resort looks so large and stunning at night.
We were greeted with a nice reception of fresh juice and then carried to our bungalow. The next few pictures are of our beautiful bungalow ( #104). It was very large with a beautiful bathroom and large deck. It was larger than Andrew's first studio apartment. The views of the water are perfect.

Beautiful flowers on our bed with cozy slippers for both of us on the floor

What a tub

One of two sinks, you can see the other in the mirror

We danced in the shower (It was that big)

Buh-day

Paula is getting happy now

We are very tired after a long day of shopping, packing and saying goodbye to beautiful Moorea and hello to Bora Bora. It has been raining since we have arrived at the hotel. We called and and got a ride to dinner.
